Discovery Streaming

 

Now with a new name, Discovery Streaming is even better. The same great on-demand instructional videos and more available to the classroom teacher.  View as streaming video or download the segments as needed.  Search Discovery Streaming by subject, grade,  or curriculum standard.  One of the new features introduced last year is Discovery Atlas.  Discovery Atlas brings together video segments from different instructional videos to focus in on specific geographical topics.  You can choose from culture, governement, history, or natural world.  We still love the writing customizable prompts! Quiz builder and available lesson plans.

 

 

Learning Village

 

Learning Village is the Memphis City School's repository for both the curriculumm and teacher lesson plans.  Text book companies have been downloading lesson plans to match the scope and sequence of instruction.  Teachers can create their own lesson plans as needed.

Did you miss that inservice instruction?  Was your neighbor talking to you while that important information was being presented?  Mediasite is for you!  Watch on demand video instruction of inservice activities when and where you want to.

 

 

Nettrekker

 

"NetTrekker makes every effort to send users to relevant, engaging, media-rich content."  NetTrekker is a district resource especially tailored to elementary, middle and high school instruction.  Send your students to NetTrekker to seek out relevant web content.  Help them search by using the readability levels so that they seek out appropriate materials.  Lots of ELL/ESL materials are available.   Use the TimeLine feature in the Famous Person search and your students will produce content rich reports.
